Made in small batches, with fresh from the farm basil, sweet Calabrian onions and other herbs grown on the property or neighboring farms. Our vendor partner is committed to using fresh, locally grown and sourced from Calabria ingredients. All basil/ herbs are chopped by hand and stirred into the pasta sauce last to maintain their flavor. Our Maika`i Tomato & Basil Sauce starts by making a "sofrito" with chopped Calabrian onions, carrots and olive oil to create a naturally sweet base. Unlike a lot of branded sauces, there's very little sugar and no high fructose corn syrup added.
